A personal project I created at the Academy of Art University. It is a visual interpretation of Bach through the medium of clay and shot on multiple layers of glass. Won the Director’s Choice Film Award at the Academy of Art University Fall Animation Festival.

Usagi Yojimbo - "The Last Request" Effects Reel

This is my practical effects reel from the short film Usagi Yojimbo - "The Last Request."

The effects I animated are: the raindrops hitting the puddles, on the roof, and dripping down; the boiling water in the pot; and the swirling leaves. I used hot glue for the water replacement animation, and I fabricated the leaves out of wire and tinfoil covered with latex painted fabric, which I filmed on a green screen. I also animated many of the main and background characters throughout the film.
